- As shown in the images of the past, the beauty of the gardens depends on the beauty of the surrounding;

- Rice fields are preferable above buildings and roads;

- New roads will invite more construction such as hotels, restaurants, shops etc. to be build around the gardens.

* Attractive entrance to the main gate of the gardens:

- The main gate as the only entrance to ensure the safety of the gardens, both physically and spiritually, as it has been laid to comply with the Balinese Asta Kosala Kosali/Tri Hita Karana rules;

- Back entrance on the hill above the northwest steps is only available for ceremonial and maintenance purposes.
